Roszina Williams, I am gospel singer/songwriter, Born and raised by my grandparents in Woodworth, Louisiana until the age of 7. My mom Betty Johnson brought me and my brothers to live in Houston, Texas where I still reside today. At the age of 9, Me and my family joined a church named First Missionary Baptist Church Houston, Texas where I joined the children’s choir and also sang in the choir at my elementary school, John R. Harris until graduating. I then enrolled into Deady Middle School where joined the choir, played the violin and viola in the school orchestra, played volleyball, and ran on the track team. After graduating from middle school, My family moved to the South Park area 0f Houston where I enrolled into Jesse H. Jones High School, where I joined the Golden Voices Choir under the direction of Mr. Joseph Addison, and was also the female vocalist for the stage band under the direction of Mr. Thomas. I ran track and played volleyball where I was awarded one of the Most Valuable Player. Because of the move to a new side of town, my church membership also changed to Greater Ebenezer Baptist Church under the leadership of the late, Pastor Albert McDaniel and now under new leadership of his son, Pastor Christopher McDaniel, and First Lady Lisa McDaniel. where I joined the choir and have been there since the age of 12yrs old and is still my present church home. In 2011 to the beginning of 2013, I joined and started singing with a group called Unrestricted Praise and at the same time started singing with Rev. Lawrence K. Thomas and The Voices of Faith Community Choir, where I was offered to record my original song (Keep My Trust In You) on Rev. Thomas cd which sold many copies and is still available in all online digital stores today. In 2018 I entered and participated in the “I Can Sang Gospel Talent Search” presented by WD Promotions/Productions, (CEO’S)- Apostle Lester & Hannah Cormier. After the Talent Search was over, I signed with WD Promotions/Productions who has groomed me into becoming a gospel recording artist, I recorded my first gospel single “You Been Good” written by Quinton Samuels (Mizta Que)- Produced by Davion Botts of (Bottzworld Studios) “You Been Good” Debuted on September 13, 2019. I was interviewed on many Radio and TV stations soon after. In July of 2020, I became an Independent Gospel Recording Artist, I recorded two new singles “Mama You Were There” originally written by myself back in 2012 and “He Won’t Put More On You” written by Cephas Riggins of (Preacha Boi Records) who is also a Recording Artist/Producer in Houston, Texas, Both songs were produced by Davion Botts, My song (Mama You Were There) I actually had a chance to sang it for my mother before it was recorded, to show appreciation for everything she did to raise me and my brother’s. In 2013 I received news of her stage 4 terminal cancer which the doctor informed me that she only had 6 months to live but she died after two months. I sang this song to my mother before she went to her resting place to be with God. Now waiting for the world to hear the lyrics from my heart to my mom.
